The 5 Best Dive Bars in London

There aren’t too many classic American dive bars in London, even fewer good ones! This list is for those in search of a night out with an unpolished charm and (maybe) some affordable drinks. We’ve been to each of these many times over the years, so although these are just our opinions, you can definitely trust them!

From live music to delicious food, each of these hidden gems has their own appeal, make sure to visit them all.

Slim Jim’s Liquor Store

Step into Slim Jim’s Liquor Store, and you’ll instantly feel transported to a retro American dive. The walls are plastered with classic rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia and neon signs, and the ceiling is decorated with bras left behind by adventurous patrons (yes, really!).

You can enjoy a wide selection of whiskeys and cocktails while listening to classic rock tunes. It’s perfect for anyone who is looking for an epic, rowdy night out.

Blondies

The drinks menu includes a variety of spirits and beers, Blondies even have their own brewery a little further east. Blondies is perfect for a gothic night out discovering new music and friendly faces.

Passyunk Avenue (Fitzrovia)

The interior is red-themed, with leather booths and vintage decor. It’s a friendly place to enjoy live music with affordable drinks and food.

The food menu features burgers, nachos, and other American-style dishes. Big Red is a top pick for classic rock fans, with a hell raising playlist and live music some nights.

Aces and Eights Saloon Bar and Pizza
